In an effort to preserve the integrity of the fruit character and to encourage the expression of the Suisun Valley, minimal vinification interventions were elected.

The skins of the Grenache berry are delicate in nature, yet when grown on dry-farmed on low vigor soils, they produce intense wines. The translucent ripe raspberry color of the wine, gives way to rich candied black cherry, sweet tobacco, and a vibrant freshness. In an effort to preserve the integrity of the fruit character and to encourage the expression of the Suisun Valley, minimal vinification interventions were elected.

The  2021  vintage  marks  the  9th  growing  season at  our  home, Duhig Ranch. The alchemy of soil, soul and farming was effortless in the 2021 DUHIG Cabernet. With just over a year of bottle age already, it is drinking exquisitely. The expression of character provides a sensual bridge between dark fruit, compote and luxuriously textured tannins. A supple entry expands across the palate, taking you on a pleasurable journey.
